세상이 왜 그래? (What's wrong with the world?)

 

 

희망의 등불

 

LA 산불의 피해가 역대급으로 서울 면적의 1/4 정도가 태워졌고 피해액은 88조 이상

으로 추정되며 건물 1만 채 이상 소실되었고 15만 명이 대피할 정도로 산불 피해로는

역대 최악의 재앙이라 할 것이다.

 

The damage from the LA wildfire is unprecedented, burning an area equivalent to

one-fourth the size of Seoul. The estimated financial loss exceeds 88 trillion KRW,

with over 10,000 buildings destroyed and 150,000 people evacuated.

It is considered the worst wildfire disaster in history.

우리나라는 정치인들 뿐이 아니라 일반 국민들 까지 좌우로 나뉘어 서로가 상대방 탓

만하고 있고 중국은 "위대한 중화민족의 부흥을 꿈꾼다"는 시진핑의 자아도취로 마치

눈 먼 마부가 손님을 태운 마차를 길 낭떠러지로 인도하는 격이고 소련은 쓸데없는

객기로 벌린 우크라이나 침공으로 꺼꾸로 국가를 침몰 위기로 만들었고 이에 합세한

북한도 더불어 멸망의 길로 들어선 느낌이다.

In South Korea, not only politicians but also ordinary citizens are divided into left

and right, blaming each other. Meanwhile, China, under Xi Jinping’s self-obsession

with the "Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation," is like a blind coachman driving

a carriage full of passengers off a cliff. Russia, driven by reckless bravado,

has plunged itself into crisis through its invasion of Ukraine, and North Korea,

joining this course, seems to be walking the path of destruction as well.

 

2025년 을사년(乙巳年)은 천간의 을(乙)은 풀을 나타내고 지지 사(巳)는 뱀을 뜻하고

잡초 속에 숨어있는 뱀을 뜻하니 아무런 생각 없이 풀을 건드렸다가는 뱀에게 물리기

십상이다.

The year 2025, the Year of the Wood Snake (乙巳年), consists of "乙" (Wood), which

symbolizes grass, and "巳" (Snake), which represents a snake hiding in the weeds.

This suggests that carelessly touching the grass may lead to being bitten by the snake.

 

한편 뱀은 뜨거운 불(火)를 의미하며 가장 양(陽)의 기운이 최고조에 다다르는 해가

되는데 거기에다 마른 풀이 더해지니 더욱 화(火)의 기운이 강해져 올해는 땅과 하늘

에서 일어나는 재해(지진, 가뭄, 산불, 화산, 항공기 사고 등)이 많아 질 까 우려된다.

Moreover, the snake represents the element of fire (火), and 2025 is expected to be

a year when the Yang (陽) energy reaches its peak. Combined with dry grass,

the fire energy intensifies, raising concerns about natural disasters such as earthquakes,

droughts, wildfires, volcanic eruptions, and aviation accidents.

 

풍수를 살펴보아도 2024년부터 2043년까지 9운에 들게 되는데 9운은 이화(離火)로

불의 에너지를 나타내며 '빛, 명예,성취,영감 등'을 상징하며 변화와 혁신, IT 관련

새로운 기술, 아이디어, 문화의 발전이 두드러지 않을까 생각된다.

Looking at Feng Shui, we enter the Ninth Luck Cycle (9運) from 2024 to 2043, which is

associated with the element of fire (離火). This symbolizes light, honor, achievement,

and inspiration, suggesting that we will see remarkable advancements in transformation,

innovation, IT technologies, and cultural development.

 

또한 창의와 혁신이 강조되는 시기이므로 예술 미디어가 더욱 발전하겠으며,

빛을 상징하는 정보통신 산업이 활기를 찾게 될 것이다.

Since creativity and innovation will be emphasized, the arts and media industries will

flourish, and the information and telecommunications sectors, symbolizing light,

will gain momentum.

 

2025 년 을사년을 바라보는 많은 예언가들의 시각은 다른 해와 달리 희망보다는

우울한 내용이 많아서 관심을 끈다.

​일본의 침몰, 중국의 몰락, 소련의 붕괴 등의 예언이 눈길을 끌지만 탄허스님이나

원효비결 등을 보면 그래도 대한민국은 그들 중에서 위기를 발판으로 가장 피해를

덜 받고, 마침내 선량한 민족성과 영적 성숙으로 인하여 세계 정상에 우뚝 설 것

이라는 예언는 우리를 설레게 만든다.

 

Many prophets’ perspectives on 2025 tend to be gloomy rather than hopeful,

drawing attention.

Predictions about Japan sinking, China collapsing, and Russia disintegrating stand out.

However, Buddhist prophecies from figures like Tanheo and the Wonhyo prophecies

suggest that among these nations, South Korea will turn crises into opportunities,

suffer the least, and ultimately rise to global prominence due to its virtuous national

character and spiritual maturity.

그러나 우리나라는 지금 안팎으로 진퇴양난으로 안으로는 정치가들의 '내가 아니면

안 된다'는 욕심으로 국민들을 혼란하게 만들고 있으며 이런 분열을 노리며 싸움을

부추기는 중국의 공산주의 진영 및 북한의 주체사상을 신봉하는 이들의 하수인인

주사파들이 자유진영을 흠집 내며 선량한 국민들을 선동하고 있으니 통탄할 일이다.

​

However, our nation is currently in a dire situation. Internally, politicians’ selfishness

"only I can lead" is throwing the people into confusion. Externally, forces aligned with

Chinese communism and North Korea’s Juche ideology are exploiting and fueling

division to undermine the free world, misleading innocent citizens. This is truly lamentable.

 

나훈아의 테스형에게 물어봐도 대답이 없는 것이 인생이다. 아니 하느님이나 부처님

에게 물어봐도 만족한 대답은 없을 것이다.

누군가 우리나라의 앞으로의 미래를 보여줄 수 있다면 얼마나 좋을까?

Even if we were to ask Na Hoon-a’s “Tess hyung” (from the song Tess Hyung!),

there would be no answer. Even asking God or Buddha might not bring a satisfying

response.  If only someone could show us the future of our nation!

 

나뭇잎새를 스치고 지나가는 한 줄기 바람에도, 말없이 흐르는 개울 물에서도 진리가

있다는데 아무리 귀를 쫑끗 세우며 들어봐도 바람은 그저 바람이고 물은 그저 물인 것

같은데 "그저 모를 뿐" 이다.

성철 스님의 "산은 산이요. 물은 물 이로다"라는 진공묘유(眞空妙有)의 가르침을 우리

같은 속인이어찌 알리오.

​

They say truth can be found in the wind rustling through the leaves or the silent flow

of a stream.

But no matter how hard we listen, the wind is just wind, and the water is just water

"we simply do not know." How can ordinary people like us grasp the deep wisdom of

Buddhist master Seongcheol’s words, “A mountain is a mountain, and water is water”?

 

석가모니 부처님도 코살라국의 유리왕의 4차 침공에 카필라국이 멸망할 때 신통제일의

제자 목련이 자신의 신통력으로 유리왕을 막으려 하였으나 부처님은 오히려 만류하면서

깊이 맺혀있는 원한관계는 신통력으로도 막을 수 없다며 석가족이 멸망하는 것을 눈물로

지켜봤다 하니 어느 누구도 자기가 알게 모르게 쌓은 업은 자기자신 만이 풀 수 있는 것

이니 우리 민족의 과거 행을 돌이켜보면 우리의 미래를 예측할 수 있을 것이다.

Even Siddhartha Gautama, when the Kingdom of Kapilavastu was destroyed by King

Virudhaka’s fourth invasion, watched in tears rather than allowing his disciple

Maudgalyayana-who was gifted with divine powers- to intervene.

He taught that deep-seated karmic resentments cannot be prevented by supernatural

means.

Thus, we must reflect on our past actions as a nation to predict our future.

 

우리나라는 오천년 역사에서 한 번도 다른 나라를 침략해 본 적이 없는 순박한 민족성을

가진 평화를 사랑하는 민족이다. 하늘과 땅에 부끄러운 짓을 하지 않은 민족에게 하늘의

천벌은 결코 있을 수가 없다.

​

Korea, with its 5,000-year history, has never invaded another country, embodying a peaceful

and innocent national character. A people who have done nothing shameful to heaven and

earth will never face divine punishment.

 

2002년도 배용준과 최지우가 출연한 '겨울연가' 로 시작된 K-드라마는 일본에서 엄청난

반향을 가져왔으며 '싸이'의 '강남스타일'로 시동을 건 후 K-food, K-pop, K-weapon 등

까지 모든 한국문화가 한국에서 시작되어 세계로 퍼지고 있으니 이것이 단지 우연의

일치일까?

Starting with Winter Sonata in 2002, which caused a sensation in Japan, K-dramas took off

globally. Then, with PSY’s Gangnam Style, the K-wave (Hallyu) extended to K-food, K-pop,

K-weapons, and more, spreading Korean culture worldwide. Could this be mere coincidence?

 

심지어 세계 각국에서 교과과정에 한글을 집어넣고 그간 교과과정에 항상 포함되었던

독일어,불어, 중국어, 스페인어, 일어 등이 폐강되며 한글이 미래 세계 공용어로 사용될

수도 있다는 말이 언어학자들 사이에서 나오는 것은 비로소 그간 어둠 속에 웅크리고

있던 한민족의 얼이 깨어나기 시작하는 것으로 볼 수 있겠다.

​

Now, even in education systems worldwide, Hangeul is being incorporated while traditional

language courses such as German, French, Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese are being

discontinued.

Linguists are even discussing the possibility of Hangeul becoming the world’s future common

language.

This suggests that the long-dormant spirit of the Korean people is finally awakening.

 

혹자는 국뽕의 극치라고 비난할 지도 모른다. 그러나 무슨 일이던지 징조가 따르는 법.

좋은 향을 쌌던 종이에는 좋은 냄새가 나고 생선을 묶었던 끈에서는 비린내가 나는 법

이니 우리나라가 그동안 쌓아온 선업이 비로소 빛을 발하게 될 때가 온 것이니 이제부터

다시 시작이며 지구상의 모든 국가가 대한민국에서 밝힌 '홍익인간' 정신을 바탕으로

평화로운 세계를 구축하게 될 것이라 확언한다.

 

Some may dismiss this as extreme nationalism. However, every major event is preceded

by signs. Just as a paper that wrapped fragrant incense retains its scent, and a string that

tied fish smells fishy, Korea’s accumulated good karma is finally coming to light.

Now, it is a new beginning, and soon, all nations will embrace Korea’s Hongik Ingan 

(the philosophy of benefiting humanity), building a peaceful world.

 

그동안 나라를 혼란과 증오와 다툼을 야기했던 이재명 같은 악의 세력과 그를 추종했던

무리들의 몰락이 보이기 시작하니 선인선과(善因善果), 악인악과(惡因惡果)이니 누구를

탓하랴. 이제라도 국민들에게 진심으로 사과하고 용서를 구하여야 할 것이다.

​

As we witness the downfall of evil forces like Lee Jae-myung and his followers, who have

caused turmoil, hatred, and conflict in our nation, we see the principle of good begets good,

and evil begets evil (善因善果, 惡因惡果).

Who is there to blame? Even now, they must sincerely apologize to the people and seek

forgiveness.

 

설사 우리 앞에 장애물이 있어도 담대히 받아들이고 하나 씩 제거해 나간다면 명실상부

한 최고의 선진국이 되리라 확신한다. 국민여러분 힘내세요!

Even if obstacles lie ahead, if we boldly confront and remove them one by one, we will undoubtedly

become the world's leading nation. Citizens of Korea, stay strong!
